Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Holds Extensive Meetings in Prague with Officials of the Czech Association of Tour Operators and Travel Agencies

During his official visit to Prague, Egypt's Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Sherif Fathy, held extensive meetings with the Czech Association of Tour Operators, travel agencies, and Eastern Europe's largest online booking platform to boost tourism numbers, promote luxury travel destinations like the North Coast, and launch integrated cultural, beach, and spiritual tour packages.
In the framework of his official and professional visit to the Czech capital, Prague, Mr. Sherif Fathy, Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, held a series of extensive meetings with officials of the Czech Association of Tour Operators and Travel Agencies, major Czech tour operators, and the management of Eastern Europe's largest online booking platform. The meetings aimed at boosting inbound tourism to Egypt and enhancing strategic cooperation with tourism partners in the Czech market—one of Egypt's key European source markets.
The discussions focused on strengthening joint marketing campaigns executed in cooperation with the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board (ETPB). During the meetings, the Minister highlighted the notable growth in Czech tourist arrivals during the first half of the year, emphasizing Egypt’s rich diversity, authentic experiences, and its shift toward luxury tourism.
Minister Fathy expressed his satisfaction with the increasing interest of Czech tourists in the North Coast and Alamein, noting a remarkable 540% surge in flight traffic to El Alamein International Airport. He invited Czech operators to create integrated tour packages combining cultural, beach, eco-tourism, and spiritual tourism to offer a comprehensive travel experience. For their part, Czech tourism officials reaffirmed that Egypt remains the top travel destination for Czech tourists due to its safety, service quality, and competitive value.
